ESP Custom Shop Alexi Ripped Electric Guitar
ESP Custom Shop Alexi Ripped is a top tier pro-level instrument built by the ESP Custom Shop in Japan. It is similar to the very last ESP Alexi got himself, a guitar that was praised as Alexi’s best-sounding guitar ever.
This stunning guitar features the distinct body design familiar from previous Alexi Laiho guitars. The most-discussed difference, in addition to the great looks, is the slanted single coil neck pickup Alexi wanted to include. This expands the sound palette in many interesting ways.
The 25.5” scale guitar features the best craftsmanship and tonewoods available anywhere in the whole world. Three-piece maple neck thru body construction is very stable and allows the best possible access to the upper frets, while giving loads of natural sustain. Body wings are alder and the fretboard is ebony.
The guitar features 24 extra jumbo frets with a scalloped fretboard from 19 to 24. Fretboard side markers are Luminlay glow-in-the-dark dots. There’s a Floyd Rose Original tremolo bridge with R2 spacing and Gotoh tuners. Straplocks are Schaller S-Locks.
The bridge pickup is the familiar EMG HZ-FH2 passive humbucker. It’s a ceramic high-gain pickup that offers excellent presence and clarity with a punchy response. Now it has a new companion, a slanted EMG HZ S2 stacked neck pickup. These go through an ESP MM-04 preamp & booster, which allows for a maximum of +18dB boost. The gain level and high frequencies can be trimmed to your liking.
This absolutely amazing instrument has a Purple Fade Satin body color with ripped black pinstripes, a matching headstock and black backside.
The guitar is set up to your preferred tuning and action before shipping. It comes in a high quality ESP hard case with a certificate of authenticity.
